Social Media Awareness & Engagement
A structured, age-appropriate course designed to help youth navigate social media safely, mindfully, and with emotional awareness. This program teaches students to:
- Understand the psychological effects of social media, including comparison, validation-seeking, and dopamine cycles
- Recognize online traps such as cyberbullying, doom-scrolling, performative pressure, and misinformation
- Set healthy boundaries around screen time, content consumption, and digital engagement
- Cultivate a mindful, values-driven digital identity that aligns with kindness and authenticity
- Learn how to curate feeds, manage digital triggers, and cope with online rejection or exclusion
- Practice digital empathy, responsible posting, and compassionate communication
- Use social platforms intentionally for connection, creativity, advocacy, and positive mental health
The course includes interactive discussions, journaling prompts, real-life scenarios, and tools youth can use to build confidence, resilience, and self-worth in the digital space.
